Where does the foundation data come from?
Every foundation profile is built from the IRS Form 990-PF and 990 Schedule I e-file XML corpus, which the IRS publishes publicly each calendar year. We regularly refresh the public filing data so new opportunities surface as soon as they're indexed. Federal RFPs come from Grants.gov, NEA, NEH, and Philanthropy News Digest. Foundation RFP pages come from our own crawler that visits each funder's website looking for active opportunities.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Will my organization's data be used to train AI models?
No. Your organization's profile, pipeline data, and LOI drafts are not used to train any model. We use Anthropic's Claude API to score and surface funders on demand — drafts are generated fresh each request and never stored on the model provider. Funder data is sourced from public IRS filings only; we do not sell, share, or resell any organization's profile.
How does the AI matching work?
Our AI reads your nonprofit's profile (mission, focus areas, populations served, service geography, annual budget) and ranks foundation funders by alignment. Each match has a 0-100 alignment score with explained reasons: focus-area overlap with the foundation's recent grants, geographic match against your service area, grant-size compatibility with your typical ask, and funder activity level. The model is Anthropic's Claude — not a generic search engine.
Can I use this for federal grants like Grants.gov?
Yes. The Open RFPs section pulls live opportunities from Grants.gov, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and Philanthropy News Digest. Federal opportunities are scored against your profile the same way foundation grants are, so you see federal and private funders ranked side-by-side instead of having to maintain two workflows.
Who built Bespoke Grants?
Founded in 2026 by Nate Dorka, a nonprofit veteran with nearly two decades in the sector. Bespoke Grants exists because finding aligned funders is the most frustrating, time-consuming part of nonprofit work — and the existing tools cost too much, take too long, and don't actually understand your mission. The product is built and hosted in New Jersey.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancellation is one click from your billing settings via the Stripe Customer Portal. You keep Pro access through the end of your current billing cycle, then revert to Free.
