Bespoke Grants was founded by Nate Dorka after more than 15 years working inside small and midsize nonprofits. It is designed for lean teams that need better funder research without another expensive database or a week of spreadsheet work.
Why Bespoke Grants exists
Finding a foundation name is easy. Deciding whether that foundation actually fits your mission, geography, budget, and kind of work is the time-consuming part. Bespoke Grants organizes public IRS filing data and public opportunity information around that decision.
The product is intentionally practical: show why a funder may fit, make the underlying evidence visible, save the best prospects to a pipeline, and help turn an organization's real program information into a first draft. Historical data is labeled as historical, and current deadlines or application rules should always be confirmed with the funder.
How we work
- Evidence before claims. Public funder profiles are grounded primarily in IRS filings and identified public sources.
- Fit before volume. A smaller list of genuinely aligned funders is more useful than hundreds of names.
- Human judgment stays in the loop. Generated drafts and match explanations are starting points, not guarantees.
- Small teams deserve usable tools. The Free plan is available without a credit card.
